Nicholas Chamberlaine Technology College is a Warwickshire County Council comprehensive school. Although its priority area is Bedworth and the villages of Bulkington, Burton Hastings, Wolvey, Shilton, Barnacle and Ansty, students are also enrolled from Nuneaton and Coventry.
We are proud to bear the name of Nicholas Chamberlaine, who was a Rector of Bedworth in the seventeenth century. His bequest to the town was, and still is, that we should place a high value on education. We live up to his legacy by raising our aspirations, promoting self-belief and sharing common moral values.
We are a comprehensive school for young people between the ages of 11 and 18, working in partnership with the Warwickshire Local Education Authority. We aim to help all students achieve their full potential both academically and socially. We value all our students equally and encourage them to see each other and the wider community in the same terms.
We aim to achieve and maintain high standards of care, support and guidance, so that students develop a positive, self-confident approach to school, the community and to their lives in the future.
The school motto “Excellence Opens All Doors” epitomises the beliefs and values that underpins our work. It is our fervent belief that all our students have the potential for excellence hence our vision is of a school where everyone has the right to reach their full potential and the opportunity to make if happen. Self belief is a powerful motivator. Our students have a pride in themselves and in their school. It is a pleasure to work here and to feel we can make a difference.
Our shared values inform everything we do in school, and beyond the school gates.
We aim to promote and develop a close partnership with parents. The school prides itself upon the high quality of parental support and involvement and works to maintain this essential relationship.
At Nicholas Chamberlaine, our shared values are:
• The academic and social education of our students come first
• Our staff are committed and professional
• We work as a team
• We respect each other
• Tolerance, maturity, open-communication, fairness and dignity inform all our work
• We are committed to the growth of our students and the continuous development of our school
